Five 14 year Girls From Bangalore Made India Proud

Five 14 year girls from Bangalore made India proud at a global pitch event held at San Francisco with their app Sellixo, which provides an online marketplace to buy and sell dry waste.The five girls Sanjana Vasanth, N. Anupama, Mahima Mehendale, Swasthi P. Rao and B. Navyashree competed under the team “Pen-tech-an” and won the first prize at the competition, including prize money of $10,000, beating 400 other teams from 64 countries. The panel consisted of female executives from top MNCs including Adobe, CA technologies, Google, Verizon, United Nations Women, UNESCO and MIT Media Lab. The team took 6 months of intensive training for better business planning and program design from the Goldman Sachs Foundation.
