A lesson on Life – The Empty Pickle Jar

A lesson on Life – The Empty Pickle Jar

For this motivational monday we got a video which we believe posits a very important message concerning our primary priorities in our lives.

The Empty Pickle Jar is a story of a philosophy professor teaching his students on setting their priorities. When the class began, he picked up a large empty pickle jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls and asked the students if the jar was full. All the students agreed that it was. So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar which rolled into the open areas between the golf balls and asked the same question again. The students agreed it was. Then the professor picked up a box of sand and poured into the jar which occupied the empty spaces between the pebbles. The professor again asked the class if the Jar is full. The students agreed with an unanimous yes! Later the professor poured a bottle of milk into the jar and asked the same question and the students laughed. Then the professor started to explain the priorities in life taking the jar as an example. Watch this lesson on life to know your priorities in your life.
